YNW Melly has tested positive for COVID-19

According to Florida rapper YNW MELLY’s official Instagram account, a recent post claims the rapper has tested positive for coronavirus (COVID-19) while in jail awaiting trial in a Broward County jail after being charged with two counts of first-degree murder.

The rapper’s team announced plans to file "a motion for restricted release in hopes of better care due to any jails not being prepared to treat this new virus."

Melly has pleaded not guilty to prosecutors claims that YNW Melly and YNW Bortlen killed YNW Juvy and YNW Sakchaser in Broward County, FL in 2018. The State of Florida announced plans to seek the death penalty against Melly.

Rapper Tekashi 6ix9ine got an early release from prison earlier today due to coronavirus concerns. His history of being hospitalized due to asthma was a factor in his release.

Do you think YNW Melly should be released for COVID-19 treatment?
