The Weeknd Smashes Apple Music Record, and The Album Hasn't Even Dropped!

The Weeknd is just minutes away from the release of his new album After Hours. The anticipation is so real, that Music Business Weekly reported earlier that the album has already garnered 975K pre-adds on Apple Music marking a brand new record on the streaming platform.

The Weeknd now holds the title previously belonging to Billie Eilish's When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? that racked up 800K pre-adds. The publication claimed by this time (11:57pm 03/19/20), The Weeknd could very well hit a million which would make his album the first to ever reach that milestone on the streaming platform. The tracklisting was shared in advance of Friday's release. On the Instagram post with the song titles, The Weeknd shows off his recent look of a gashed up nose with the caption "Track List... 3 MORE DAYS". Tracks include the already released Blinding Lights and Heartless. What message do you think he is trying to send with this album?
