She's had more than a dozen fractures and in the new few years she faces two major surgeries to strengthen her fragile bones. But she's only 10 years old. For the 50,000 Americans with Osteogenesis Imperfecta, brittle bones are a concern throughout their life. Osteogenesis Imperfecta affects thousands of people in the United States and millions around the world. OI is a genetic disorder that causes fragile bones and a variety of other issues. Children experience hundreds of bone breaks in their lifetime and dozens of painful surgeries. Parents feel helpless each time their child fractures a bone and struggle to wonder why this disorder has affected them. The OI foundation and hundreds of volunteers are working together to find treatments and a cure of OI. Please join us on Saturday, September 21st at Jacaranda Golf Club for a one o'clock shotgun golf tournament and dinner to support OI Foundation and increase awareness about this rare but debilitating disorder. Contact Jacaranda Golf Club at 954.472.5836 for information about how to register, donate or become a sponsor.
