Nicki Minaj Ghosted Social Media to Work on Album?

Via Complex,

Nicki Minaj went MIA from social media this year. The rap star hasn't posted on Twitter or Instagram since December, and naturally, her fans have been wonderingwhere she's been all this time. Even Wendy Williams drew some concern on Minaj's disappearance and drafted up some faux missing posters with Minaj's face for her show on Tuesday (Feb. 13).

"She hasn't been spotted since December, everyone," said Williams on her talk show. "People are starting to worry. To help find her, we've done a lot of fanning out here. She really is missing!"

Now, TMZ reports that she's been away from the 'gram because she's working on a new album. Minaj hasn't dropped an album since 2014's The Pink Print, which is basically eons ago in the digital age. Although she's released a slew of hit guest features including "MotorSport" with Migos and Cardi B, two tracks on DJ Khaled's Grateful, and Calvin Harris' "Skrt On Me," it seems that Minaj is ready to release a full-length project again.

According to TMZ's source, Minaj is working with the Young Money roster including Lil Wayne and Mack Maine, among others. The source also told the site that "some of the tracks are finished" and that "every song is going to be a hit." It's also rumored to drop later this year. One thing is for sure: She has a lot of material to work with. Since her last album, Minaj dated and broke up with Meek Mill, who's now in jail and inspiring protestors to chant #FreeMeekMill. Minaj also reportedly broke things off with her rumored beau, Nas, earlier this year. And now, her ex Safaree is pining after her. And then there was the whole H&M controversy. But we'll just have to wait and see what the rapper has up her sleeve.
