Tory Lanez’s legal troubles just got a little heavier. During his third deposition connected to the ongoing defamation lawsuit Megan Thee Stallion filed against blogger Milagro Gramz, Lanez found himself on the wrong side of the judge.
According to reports, prosecutors pressed Lanez for detailed answers, but he repeatedly responded with brief statements like “I don’t know,” refused to cooperate, and displayed what the court described as disrespectful behavior. His conduct ultimately led the judge to find him in contempt of court.
As a result, Lanez has been ordered to pay a $20,000 sanction, adding another layer of legal and financial pressure while he continues serving his sentence in a separate case.
The deposition is part of a broader effort to establish what role if any Lanez played in the spread of misinformation surrounding the 2020 shooting incident. With this new ruling, the court is signaling it won’t tolerate evasiveness as the defamation case moves forward.
