The California 2nd District Court of Appeal has denied Tory Lanez’s appeal, affirming his December 2022 conviction in the high-profile shooting case involving Megan Thee Stallion.
The incident dates back to July 2020: after a party in Hollywood Hills, Megan testified that Lanez fired multiple rounds at her feet as she walked away from a vehicle.
In December 2022, Lanez (real name Daystar Peterson) was convicted on three felony counts:
- assault with a semiautomatic firearm
- possession of a loaded, unregistered firearm in a vehicle
- discharging a firearm with gross negligence
With the appeal denied, his 10-year prison sentence stands.
Reports indicate Lanez is eligible for parole in 2029.
