Boxing history was made this weekend in Las Vegas as Terence “Bud” Crawford defeated Canelo Álvarez in a high-stakes 12-round bout, becoming the first male fighter in history to become undisputed champion in three different weight divisions.
Crawford, who moved up two weight classes to face the Mexican superstar, delivered a masterclass performance, edging Canelo with a unanimous decision. The official scorecards read 116-112, all in favor of Crawford; though the fight remained competitive from start to finish.
The fight was part of a groundbreaking live sports event streamed on Netflix, marking one of the streaming giant's most ambitious ventures into combat sports to date.
Las Vegas was buzzing, with a celebrity-packed audience that included boxing legends like Mike Tyson, as well as stars from entertainment, sports, and music.
