Rod Wave Arrested on Felony Charges

Rod Wave, born Rodarius Marcell Green, was arrested on May 20, 2025, in Fulton County, Georgia, facing 14 felony charges, including aggravated assault, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, pointing a firearm at another person, criminal damage to property, reckless conduct, and tampering with evidence.

The charges stem from an incident on April 21, 2025, at his residence in Milton, Georgia, following a reported burglary. According to police, Green and an associate were observed removing items from the home when a verbal altercation escalated, leading to Green allegedly pointing a Glock 20 10mm semiautomatic pistol at another individual and firing 14 shots. The gunfire resulted in damage to multiple vehicles and the residence.

Green voluntarily surrendered to authorities and was released on a $50,000 bond the same day. His attorneys assert that he was the victim of a burglary and deny all charges, promising a favorable resolution.

This is not Green's first encounter with the legal system. In 2022, he faced a domestic battery charge that was later dropped due to lack of prosecutorial merit. In 2024, he was arrested for firearm possession as a convicted felon; however, his attorneys denied this claim, stating he had never been a convicted felon.
