Update: Finesse2Tymes’ Legal Team Resigns Following Series of Setbacks

Finesse2tymes has been on supervised release since he was released from prison in July 2022. He was behind bars a little more than 3 and half years of a five-year sentence for possessing a gun as a former felon.

Just days after rapper Finesse2Tymes voluntarily turned himself in to authorities, his legal team has officially withdrawn from representing him. According to sources close to the case, the resignation stems from multiple issues, including nonpayment of legal fees and mounting legal complications that have made the case increasingly difficult to manage.

Court records show that Finesse2Tymes, Ricky Hampton; is currently facing allegations tied to a violation of his probation on three separate occasions. These include failed drug tests in both 2022 and 2024, along with a recent arrest connected to alleged terroristic threats.

This latest development marks another chapter in the Memphis artist’s ongoing legal battles, which have cast a shadow over his otherwise rising career in the Southern rap scene. While his legal future remains uncertain, his sudden shift from headlining shows to court appearances has sparked concern among fans and industry insiders alike.

His next court appearance is scheduled for May 8, where a federal judge will determine the next steps regarding his custody status and potential penalties. As of now, no new legal representation has been confirmed, and it’s unclear how this will impact his upcoming court dates or potential plea negotiations.
