Drake's Father Responds To Kendrick Lamar's "Not Like Us" Grammys Sweep

Dennis Graham, Drake's father, responded to Kendrick Lamar's Record of the Year win at the Grammy Awards. In a video shared on social media, he was asked about the Recording Academy recognizing a diss track aimed at Drake. He replied that it didn't concern him and wished Lamar well, expressing that he doesn’t engage with that kind of drama. Lamar didn't just win Record of the Year; he also took home Song of the Year, Best Rap Song, Best Rap Performance, and Best Music Video for "Not Like Us." While accepting the Song of the Year award, he dedicated it to his hometown of Compton, mentioning his parents' excitement and playfully reminding his son that it was past his bedtime. Lamar's speech highlighted the victims of recent wildfires in Los Angeles, thanking the communities he knows so well. His Grammy victories come just before he is set to headline the Super Bowl LIX halftime show and start a co-headlining tour with SZA.

Drake has not yet spoken about Lamar's success with "Not Like Us," as he is currently involved in a lawsuit with Universal Music Group regarding the song. Drake alleges that UMG boosted the track’s success to undermine his brand during contract talks, but UMG has denied these claims.
