SZA Argues With Fans Over “Lana” Album Updates

In December, SZA released her much-awaited project, SOS Deluxe: Lana. Fans loved it, and it quickly topped the charts. She promised updates for early January, but those updates haven't come yet. This delay led some users on X to criticize her. She tweeted, “Punch was right,” which got a reaction from Punch, who replied with an eyes emoji. SZA then explained, “You told me to stop sharing snippets and tea… thought I was doing something right. I get it now.” One unhappy fan called her "unprofessional," which she found frustrating. The fan remarked, “It’s like you announced something and ignored it for 11 days," to which SZA replied, “As if sample clearances happen right on time, right? I shouldn't have tried to please you. It was kindness, not professionalism.” The same fan scolded her about the announcement date. SZA took the chance to clarify her stance, saying she's done her best for her fans. “At this point, you can just go to hell. I don’t work for you. I only do my best. Take care.” Another fan jumped in to suggest that this backlash might push her to delete her X account.

“Absolutely not. No one is bullying me," she stated. "I’m only here for myself and God. I give a lot to my fans, both online and in person. If some want to be rude, that’s on them.” When fans suggested she shouldn’t have set a date initially, she responded, “I’m sorry, but I can't deal with complaints anymore today. Try again tomorrow during business hours.”
