SZA Is Open To Making A Collab Album With Kendrick Lamar

Since 2014, SZA and Kendrick Lamar have been a strong team in music. They always seem to match each other’s energy on a song. Their collaborations have not only produced great music but also achieved impressive sales and streams. After a long break, they reunited in 2024, following their hit "All The Stars" from the 2018 Black Panther soundtrack. Kendrick featured SZA on two tracks from his surprise GNX project, "luther" and "gloria." In turn, he helped her on "30 For 30" from the SOS Deluxe: LANA album. Despite the gap between their projects, their chemistry remains strong. Fans are excited because they will be touring together in mid-April for Kendrick’s Grand National Tour. Many hope for a full album from the duo. SZA responded to these wishes after a fan posted a TikTok asking for it, saying, "Gotta ask the big guy." She shared similar enthusiasm during an appearance on Sherri Shepherd's talk show. After discussing their past music, Sherri asked if they would consider a joint album. SZA replied, “I would love that” and added, “I think that would be amazing.”

SZA expressed admiration for Kendrick’s talent, saying he is a visionary. She described him as a genius who is both elusive and mysterious. When "Luther" played, she knew those would be the vocals to use. She felt the same about "Gloria." SZA said she trusts Kendrick’s expertise and is grateful for the opportunities he brings. For now, fans should watch for updates in the spring, hoping their dreams of more music together will come true.
