Lil Durk Connected To Another Suspected Murder-For-Hire Case

Lil Durk is in jail in Los Angeles facing charges related to a supposed murder-for-hire conspiracy. Recently, it seems he may have more legal issues. DJ Akademiks tweeted that the Chicago rapper is now connected to another alleged murder-for-hire case, linked to the killing of Stephon Mack in 2022. Authorities think this murder might be in response to the 2021 killing of Durk's brother, Dontay "DThang" Banks. Although he hasn't been officially charged in this case, new legal documents suggest he may be involved. DThang was shot outside Club O near Chicago and was 32 years old when he died. Durk is already facing a possible life sentence for his other charges. His arrest happened just after five other alleged members of his crew were detained for allegedly being paid to kill Quando Rondo in response to the 2020 death of King Von. In 2022, a shooting at a gas station in LA targeted Quando Rondo and his cousin Lul Pab. Quando Rondo survived the attack, but Lul Pab died from his injuries. Lil Durk has pleaded not guilty to his charges, and prosecutors want him to stay in jail before his trial, calling him a potential flight risk and a danger to the community. His trial is set for January 7, 2025, but it might be postponed, according to ABC7.

This news comes after Durk's lawyers pushed back against prosecutors who claimed he mentioned Lul Pab's death in one of his songs. They told TMZ Hip Hop that using a rapper’s lyrics as "evidence" shows there isn’t any solid proof against him.
