Azealia Banks criticized Cardi B for her embarrassing support of Kamala Harris in Wisconsin last week. Over the weekend, Banks shared her thoughts on X, formerly known as Twitter, targeting both Cardi and Nicki Minaj. She stated that Cardi needs to stop pretending to be the “stupid Latina” because it feels forced and inauthentic. According to Banks, Cardi is from Washington Heights and should represent her true roots. She mentioned that Dominican women are very smart and that Cardi's portrayal is a big misrepresentation. Banks pointed out that Cardi isn’t a true Bronx native since she moved there at 14. She also noted that both Cardi and Nicki are very intelligent but act silly to seem relatable, suggesting they should just be friends. Banks then took aim at Nicki, saying they both pretend to be something they’re not and questioned the truth of their past stories, like Cardi’s claim about drugging and robbing men and Nicki’s story about selling drugs. Banks claimed that girls from LaGuardia High School, like Nicki, are dedicated to their art and wouldn't resort to selling drugs.
