At just the young age of 19-years-old Delray Beach- Florida raised Coco Gauff made history this week as she took home the win during this years Tennis US Open. Gauff went up against the number 2 player in the world Aryna Sabalenka. This is Gauff's first US Open Victory, the youngest to achieve this goal since Serena Williams who took home the win back in 1999 who was 17 at the time. Nonetheless Coco Gauff showed the world that she too is a Champion and has the trophy to prove it. #GoOffCocoGauff
In an interview on the 'Today Show' Gauff explained she got on her knees to give thanks. "I don’t pray for results,” she stated. “I just ask that I get the strength to give it my all. Whatever happens, happens. I’m so blessed in this life. I’m just thankful for this moment. I don’t have any words for it, to be honest."
