California and New York with Florida on the way have signed declarations stating "Monkeypox a state of emergency". The U.S Secretary declares Monkeypox a "public health emergency." The Biden administration in hopes of boosting treatment, access to vaccines and awareness declared Moneypox a state of emergency.
In Thursday's news briefing Health and Human Services Secretary Xavier Becerra stated, “We’re prepared to take our response to the next level in addressing this virus, and we urge every American to take monkeypox seriously and to take responsibility to help us tackle this virus,” Many are still confused on what Monkeypox actually is. It resembles chickenpox with the scarring but it is definitely not.
