His first two projects Federal 3X and 2 Heartless, debuted at No. 5 and No. 16 on the Billboard 200.

His third album, Time Served, debuted at number 3 on the Billboard 200 in 2020, but his fourth album, A Gangsta's Pain, became his first chart-topping project.

It features Kaash Paige, Big30, Future, Polo G, Lil Durk, Jhené Aiko, and Pharrell Williams, and debuted with 110,000 units. His first No. 1 on Billboard’s R&B/Hip-Hop chart as “Wockesha” jumped from No. 3 to the top.

He added Lil Wayne and Ashanti to “Wockesha.” as the original single features a sample of Wayne talking about his cup on the opener.

The single highlights Yo's year of accomplishments, as he also has the highest-selling rap album of 2021. A Gangsta’s Pain sold 777,000 copies, making it the highest-selling album of the year, and his current status as one of the hottest Hip Hop acts in the past year is realized.
