While students are gearing up for the fall semester, there still seems to be a great debate over whether or not students should have to wear mask when going back to school. Some parents are completely against it, and others including teachers believe that it will be a helping tool in keeping everyone safe. Welp, as of today Broward County School Board members have decided to keep the mask mandate for students returning to school. Though this may pose a problem for the Florida Governor as he previously stated that he will not enact a state wide mask mandate, some of the members stated that it is there 'moral obligation to be there brothers and sisters keeper.'
Students in Broward County are expected to return to school in person August 16th 2021, while students in Miami Dade will return Monday. August 23rd, 2021.
